L’associazione Busajo NGO Ets nasce a Firenze nel 2009 e si occupa del recupero, della rieducazione e del reinserimento in famiglia di bambini e bambine di strada a Soddo, nel sud dell’Etiopia. Gli street children sono bambini che per le ragioni più disparate – malattie, povertà, violenza, fame – si sono allontanati o sono stati respinti dalle loro famiglie d’origine finendo sulla strada in cerca di un futuro migliore. Il nostro intento è quello di investire sulla loro istruzione e formazione professionale, quali strumenti più efficaci per combattere la povertà in cui vivono e aiutarli a riacquistare fiducia nel loro futuro. Tale intervento contribuisce inoltre a far crescere e favorire lo sviluppo sociale, culturale ed economico territoriale.

The Busajo NGO association was born in Florence – Italy in 2009 and deals with the recovery, re-education and reintegration of street children in Soddo, in southern Ethiopia. The street children are those children who, for various reasons such as diseases, poverty, violence, fame, have moved away or have been rejected by their families of origin, ending up on the street in search of a better future. Our intent is to invest in their education and professional training, in order to fight the poverty in which they live and to help me regain confidence in their future. This intervention also encourages social, cultural and economic development in the territory.
