Job Description

The Tree of Life is a Kenyan Charitable Trust established in Kenya to promote effective actions aimed at ensuring well-being, protecting and promoting human rights, encouraging the development of children in difficulty, their families and their communities.


Duty Station: Nairobi, Kenya with travels in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and Uasin Gishu counties
Contract Type: Full-time, 1 year renewable based on performance and funds availability.
Starting date: 02/02/2026
Gross Salary and benefits: The gross monthly salary ranges from KES 160,000 to KES 190,000, depending on the candidate’s skills and experience. Health insurance will be provided to the selected candidate


POSITION SUMMARY

Inside WINGS Project – Work Inclusion, Growth and Sustainability for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities in Kenya The Senior Result Manager will lead the operational and technical implementation of all Result 2 activities and deliverables (Decent Work & Employment Creation for Women).

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Expert will coordinate partners, ensure compliance with donor and AICS requirements, and drive the development a digital Social Start-up supporting job placement for beneficiaries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Project Management:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all Result 2 activities;
  • Coordinates and oversees the work of project staff operating across the five target counties;
  • Maintain strong partnerships with national institutions, private sector actors, and technical partners;
  • Ensure alignment with donor requirements, including reporting, visibility, financial compliance, and PRAG-compliant procurement processes;
  • Oversee the rollout of the professional curriculum, digital training components, and job-matching initiatives;
  • Prepare narrative reports, implementation plans, partnership agreements, and technical documentation.

B. Technical Leadership – Employment & Digital Start-up Development

  • Support and guide the establishment and operationalization of the digital Social Start-up, including governance and sustainability planning;
  • Provide technical guidance on employment pathways, decent work principles, inclusion, and vocational training systems;
  • Support business Enterprise planning, legal-bureaucratic steps, operational processes and digital governance for the Social Start up;
  • Promote private-sector engagement and employer sensitization activities;
  • Ensure inclusion of women and persons with disabilities across all processes.

C. MEAL

  • Ensure adoption and application of Result 2 MEAL tools and frameworks;
  • Monitor progress on training, job insertion, digitalization, private-sector engagement, and awareness activities;
  • Support partners throughout the monitoring cycle (data collection, verification, consolidation, compliance with AICS standards, timely reporting), while identifying risks or deviations and proposing corrective actions, as well as providing guidance and capacity-building when needed;
  • Promote learning and the capitalization of good practices, ensuring proper archiving of all MEAL documentation, data sources, means of verification, and partner contributions.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in development cooperation projects funded by institutional donors (experience in AICS projects is a strong asset);
  • Proven expertise in Project Cycle Management (PCM) and multi-stakeholder coordination;
  • Solid knowledge of MEAL elements (indicators, data collection systems, means of verification etc.);
  • Familiarity with start-up ecosystems, social enterprise models, or digital employment solutions;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong communication, representation, and partnership management skills;
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with multi-institutional teams;
  • Proficiency in English and Kiswahili.

Desirable

  • Experience with vocational training (TVET/NITA), labor market insertion, or skills development programs;
  • Knowledge of PRAG procurement procedures or similar donor procurement systems;
  • Knowledge of disability inclusion and gender-responsive programming;
  • Understanding of decent work frameworks and labor rights with a particular focus on domestic work and support services;
  • Knowledge of Result Based Management (RBM) approach
