Compassion in World Farming International was founded in 1967 in England by Peter Roberts, a British farmer who became horrified by the development of intensive factory farming. In an age where the debate about food provenance, sustainability and safety has never been more urgent, the challenge for Compassion in World Farming is to combat the spread of factory farming and ensure that animal welfare becomes a fundamental consideration within the global food system.
About the role
As the Digital Specialist for Spain, you will play a crucial role in our mission to end factory farming by ensuring a robust digital presence in Spain. This part-time, fixed-term position requires a dynamic and creative individual who can manage our digital communications and engage effectively with our supporters and donors.
You will be responsible for managing our website content, executing social media strategies, and handling all outbound communications. Your expertise in creating compelling web content and using social media will help us reach and engage a broader audience. Additionally, you will be the first point of contact for our Spanish supporters, providing excellent care and fostering strong relationships with our community.
This role involves close collaboration with the Italian team, the International GIG team, and the HQ team, providing a unique opportunity to work within a passionate and dedicated international team. Under the supervision of the Head of Italy, you will contribute to the development and execution of campaigns that drive our mission forward. Your presence in the Italian office will be therefore required twice a week (2 days in a row)
Join us as the Digital Specialist for Spain to drive our mission to end factory farming through impactful digital engagement and communication.
About you
To excel in this role, you will be passionate and driven, with a strong commitment to animal welfare. You’ll be a native Spanish speaker based in Northern Italy or Tuscany, with excellent written and spoken English skills. As a clear communicator, you will have demonstrable experience in online communications and a proven ability to create engaging digital content.
You will need to be well organised, and able to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. Your experience in managing digital campaigns, from social media to mass email broadcasts, will be essential. You’ll be detail focused, with an analytical mindset, and a creative approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with HTML/CSS and graphic applications like Photoshop will be highly beneficial, as well as your ability to deliver compelling storytelling, that will help enhance our supporter engagement and drive our mission forward.
Your dedication to providing excellent care and attention to our supporters and donors will be crucial in building lasting relationships and ensuring the success of our efforts to end factory farming.
