Job Description

Are you looking to provide effective finance and operational support to a small but growing and dynamic team? If you have the appropriate qualifications/experience in book-keeping and general office and event management support, this may be the role for you! 

The successful candidate will support Nesta Italia’s Director of Operations by ensuring accurate financial records are kept, invoices and expenses are managed effectively as well as providing regular and timely financial reporting to management.

In addition, the Administration and Operations Assistant will help ensure that team works in a quality, safe, fit for purpose office environment, representing value for money by coordinating appropriate purchasing and facility management. Finally, the role holder will support with the running of a busy events calendar and will provide support with diary management, arranging internal and external meetings and booking travel arrangements.

This role is key to providing a reliable and effective support to the whole organisation to ensure continued success and impact. It requires a confident individual with experience in bookkeeping and use of finance systems as well as general office procedures and event planning/coordination. The role would suit a delivery-focused self-starter, who is comfortable taking ownership over processes.

You’ll also be handling website and email enquiries – so excellent communication skills and a well-organised approach are both absolutely essential. You’ll bring a keen eye for detail too, as well as the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise a varied workload. A good command of the English language both written and spoken is a must for this role.
