Operation Daywork is a nonprofit organization led by High School students in the Trentino-Südtirol region. OD allows young people to engage themselves critically and innovatively in the world of development cooperation. The organization so combines education and action to support social justice and to create an international solidarity network. Operation Daywork works on an awarness raising campaign with a specific topic each year, which is related to the current project the students support. Additionally the NGO grapples with topics such as Human and Youth Rights, Migration, Solidarity, Tolerance, Racism, and others. At the end of the campaign students realize a so called “Day of Action” where they skip school and go working instead. 100% of the gained money is then used to finance the development project.
